Book Crossing - we are a
Crossing Zone (a place to leave and pick up free books)
for www.bookcrossing.com

Books have been left at our Crossing Zone bookshelf
for others to pick up (for free) to read and later release to be shared
with others.
Used Cellphone Drop-off
- please recycle your discarded cellphones through us.
We send
them to be converted to emergency 911 phones for abused/battered
women.
Printer Ink Cartridge
Recycling - please leave your empty printer ink cartridges
with
us. We turn them in for a credit toward office supplies.
Coupon Exchange
- We have a stash of store coupons that you may take away
and/or leave
some of your own.
Mentoring
Program: At Open Door we are
off to a good start with a new Mentoring Program. It is our goal
that The Open Door
Mentoring Program help to empower youth in our community to make
positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential. The
Mentoring Program will invite adult volunteers to commit to supporting,
guiding, and being a friend to a young person for a period of at least
one year. By becoming part of the social network of adults and
community members who care about the youth, the Mentor can help youth
develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals.
